- The state has acted against the credential or refused it. The educator is not authorized under it, and the action is on the public record.
Verifying a Colorado teacher

How do I know a Colorado teacher is really licensed?
Find them by credential number on the Colorado Department of Education's record with an active status. A teacher who cannot be found on the state's record is not licensed in Colorado, whatever a website says.
What does an expired or inactive license mean?
The license is on file but not current, so the teacher cannot practice on it until it is renewed or reactivated. The record shows the expiration date.
